Francisco Pizarro was a Spanish conquistador who traveled much of the Pacific coast along South America. He conquered the Inca civilization quickly and effectively. He stole millions in gold and silver from the native people of South America. Pizarro landed at San Mateo Bay, 1532. After traveling through intense conditions, Pizarro and his men came to Cajamarca. Where they captured Atahuallpa, the 13th emperor of the Incas. Atahuallpa who had just won a war against his half brother and had executed him and his family. Atahuallpa had invited Pizarro to a feast, thinking that the Spanish weFrancisco-Pizarro-um1540.pngre not a threat. Pizarro traped Atahuallpa and killed many of his men.
